Oh, I have the feeling I’m gonna say this over and over again, but we’re having suuuuch a good time here in Istanbul. Last tuesday, our second day, we spent visiting the old city with the spledid Blue Mosque (and Aya Sofya, but we saved that one for wednesday). I really feel like we’re in a Aladdin movie sometimes haha, or in some kind of theme park like Disney or the Efteling. The weather is getting better and better, which makes capturing all the beauty around us even more fun. I already photographed my fair share of Istanbul cats as well (you’ll find the first one here). Enjoy!

We walked our way down from Taksim square to the nearest tramway station. It’s possible to walk to Sultanahmet (the area of the old city), but our feet hurt already from the first day, haha!

Blue mosque
The interior of the Blue Mosque with all the lights and mosaics, woooooowww. We had to take off our shoes and women were required to wear a head scarf, so we felt really… sacred? Why aren’t protestant churches this elaborately decorated haha? It would make me an instant believer.

Afterwards, we went for some way-too-expensive (but delicious) baklava.

blue mosque
Typical setting to try out a billion options on my camera again. I’m still learning. In the background the Blue Mosque exterior. Doesn’t it look dreamy?

I posted this outfit yesterday, find it here.

Blue mosque
Not enough lighting, but I love the pink-/purple-ish colour on the water.

Aya Sofya
Exterior of Aya Sofya, which is very closeby the Blue Mosque.

Istanbul cat
Aaaahhhwww. The cats here are so small and cute and some of them even want to cuddle and sit on your lap (and eat your food, okay, but still: cute).
