DELPHI PHOTO ON CANVAS

By now, you guys probably know how much I like photos. I’m taking my DSLR everywhere, even though I almost shoot everything on auto (shame on me, promise I’ll learn more about my camera ONE DAY). Luckily, Delphi is too pretty to even need special camera settings, so when Foto op Canvas asked me to try out their services, I immediately knew it had to be this picture I wanted to have printed on canvas. It not only represents beautiful memories of an amazing trip, it also should combine very well with my other photo on canvas (remember?). Well, scroll on to see how it turned out!

First of all, I edited the photo. Maybe you can’t really see the difference in these small pics, but the one below is slightly less reddish (more blue) and I increased contrast a little. Editing is no problem as long as you don’t decrease the size of your photo too much. Mine was 4898 x 3265 pixels, to give you an idea.

Ordering probably couldn’t have been easier. As you can see, the size I got (40 x 30) is only €15,-, which is incredibly cheap! However, this is excluding BTW and shipping costs (€4,95). In total, my order was €23,42 (which is still cheap though).

I received my canvas already THREE DAYS later, so fast! The only drawback I can think of, is that Foto op Canvas works with their own postal carrier, so I received an e-mail informing me that my package was going to be delivered within three days and that I needed to be home or arrange something with my neighbors in order to receive it. However, I don’t know my neighbors very well, so that’s not really an option. Luckily, the package arrived at a time I was home, but I don’t know what the procedure would be if I wasn’t.

Anyhow, I love the result! Even though I added a completely different filter to the photo on the left (the one I already had), I think they look so cool together. Both feature mountains and a great view and seem to breathe that travel-vibe I so desperately need at home.

From these close-ups you can tell that parts with many details tends to get a little grainy, due to the structure of the canvas. I suggest you take this into account when choosing a photo. But on the overall, I’m completely content with the quality!

Now I can’t wait to add a third one to the collection, haha! Thinking of creating a holiday-photos-on-canvas-wall some day. Friends of mine have that and it looks so professional and personal at the same time. For the Dutchies among you with the same idea, I’d definitely recommend Fotoopcanvas.nl, since it’s cheap and fast and delivers fine quality!

Dankjewel! En het zou leuk zijn om er nog meer ‘holiday views’ aan toe te voegen, ga ik zeker doen!

Good luck deciding which one (that’s always the hardest part for me, haha)! Thanks for the sweet comment!
