PACKING TIPS [WHAT CLOTHES I PACKED FOR ISTANBUL]

packing tips

Imagine packing your bags for a citytrip: you’ve never been in this city before, you don’t know how much you’re going to walk, you have no particular sightseeing-/goingout-/shopping plans and on top of that, the temperatures are estimated at thirteen to twenty-two degrees Celsius (that is: from pretty cold to pretty warm). I hear you thinking: WHAT ON EARTH AM I GOING TO PACK!? Well, that’s kind of the situation I was in before leaving for Istanbul. And because I wanted to take as many clothes with me to be able to make the most combinations possible, I did what I always do: I made a list of items I wanted to take with me, drew lines and arrows between the items that could be combined and ruled out the options that didn’t have a high enough intercombinable rate. If you get what I mean. So today I share with you the sixteen items that made it to the Istanbul selection, because I couldn’t be happier with how this holiday turned out fashion-wise.

THE SELECTION
[01] grey, long, v-neck sweater
[02] grey-and-white striped sweater
[03] grey, long t-shirt

[05] black, t-shirt dress with white text
[06] skater dress
[07] black leggings
[08] black, skinny trousers
[09] black dungarees
[10] cognac blazer
[11] black, fluffy cardigan
[12] camel, fringed coat
[13] grey scarf
[14] grey, striped poncho
[15] black booties
[16] black, pointy dress shoes

As you might notice (if you read very carefully, haha) I wore every single item I took with me and more importantly: I could have made a ton of other combinations in case the weather/activities/circumstances had demanded. (And I still had room for pyjamas in my suitcase <3!) The sacrifice is that I exclusively wore black, grey, camel/cognac and a hint of white, let’s see if I can do this with more colour in the future as well!

Dankjewel!

Hi Marta! In Istanbul, they have suuuuch beautiful ponchos and they’re supercheap as well. I wanted to buy a second one, but I really don’t need two, so I managed to keep myself in check ;). Anyway, my poncho is from River Island. You can find more pictures of me wearing it here and you can buy it online here. River Island has more ponchos with different prints and patterns by the way, so the webshop is worth checking out! Good luck and let me know if you buy anything, I’m curious! Thanks for your comment, X.
