WINTER IN HOLLAND

I’ve always said that if I can’t find a job after school and my career turns out to be a flop (chances are high), I’d start a knit store. I’d be knitting scarfs and blankets and pillow covers aaaall day, selling them online to those who love handmade craftmanship as much as I do. Dream read more »

DIAGONAL PINSTRIPE SCARF I must admit that for yesterday’s post, I accidentally ran into this blog by Purl Soho (a knitting- and sewing shop in New York) while searching for cool knitted blankets. In the process however, I got completely lost in between all the cool knitting ideas that are to be found on the read more »

MERINO TWEED KNITTING UPDATE

Almost a month ago, I told you about my knitting wool order, of which this gorgeous Katia Merino Tweed was part. BASKETWEAVE STITCH KNITTING PROJECT

Since my first scarf is finished (the result will be published sooooon, I promise!), I started a new knitting project (again, a scarf, of course) in basketweave stitch. This is a super easy stitch, but it gives a really cool pattern. I’m using a cheap, grey, acrylic wool from Action (where would I be without Action?) read more »

KNITTING WITH A BLACK-GREY-WHITE YARN

I’m in love with this black-grey-white knitting yarn from Zeeman. It was supercheap (and no, it’s not real wool, it’s acrylic), but it’s a nice yarn to try out different stitches (on different needle sizes) with and see how the colour patterns turns out. I started knitting in a “regular” knit stitch with 3-5mm needles. read more »

You guys reacted very enthousiastically on the first edition of Snap Shots, so I continued to collect some self made, inspiring, atmospheric photos. Is atmospheric really a translation for sfeervol? KNITTING PROGRESS AND IDEAS

The amount of knitting-related posts was dropping to a dangerously low level lately (=p), so I thought I’ll show you my knitting process again. My fuzzy infinity scarf (below) is expanding like crazy, haha! I still love working on it: the two yarns and the stitch make it interesting and I can’t wait to try read more »
